Also interesting to see what decisions go against us. If the FA really want to send us down we'll see a pattern upcoming of dodgy decisions going against us. I have no doubt they would love to see us finish more than 5 points below 17th, knowing that any appeal may see the deducition halved at best (but imo kept exactly as it is).

They might set their stall out here with an early red card and United goal. Imagining Fernandes dive when through on goal, red card Branthwaite, Pickford saves penalty but referee claims he's off his line, Fernandes takes again, saved again but VAR claims one of our players is running inside the box, takes again and finally scores, Tarkowski sent off for remonstrating with the referee.
Do some of you really think the PL speak to referees and tell them to make it hard for Everton?
I know we are on the bad end of a lot of poor refereeing, but come on.

But they do give us some of the worst refs on their books. Cherry pick the decent ones for big games. Why aren’t they allocated for the season ahead instead of weekly?

The whole hating the word soccer thing hasn’t always existed you know? English people didn’t get triggered by the word until relatively recently. Late 80s and 90s really. He’s older so he might not care about it and his parents and teachers may have used the word.

You know who is to blame for the word? The English. Who popularized the use to compete against football … which was rugby. Soccer and rugby were both called football but rugby was winning. Americans called their rugby football because English people called it football. American soccer fans skew highly educated and they know how ignorant you sound when you get triggered about “soccer” and “why you call rugby football?” but they’re too nice to correct you and point out that you are completely assbackwards history wise. American soccer fans sure are nice to protect your feelings so much; the Americans who hate soccer tend to be the problem you know? Anyway …

1-0 to the blues. Really looking forward to hearing the crowd. Sack the board. Sack the Prem.

In Ireland, for us GAA fans who also follow Association Football, the word 'football' usually means Gaelic Football and we use 'soccer' to differentiate.

In the Irish language 'peil' invariably means Gaelic football ' while 'sacar' is used for Association Football.

I have never heard Rugby being called just 'football' over here. Always referred to as Rugby or Rugger - a game of which I am not a fan btw but I know loads who are.

On Sunday we need to create a poisonous atmosphere but please no flares, smoke bombs, fireworks or ANY other things that will give the epl an excuse to punish us further.

Come ON you Blues!!

Without looking it up, CBA, I'm pretty sure that we get all the refs going round from time to time. And none of them are perfect.
