Happy blue tonight. Goodison had a cracking atmosphere today, even us "Tories" in the Main Stand were singing lol

Barry and Gana were simply immense - that's a cracking partnership. Jags and Ash are also looking a solid partnership. Barkley was much improved and Coleman was looking more like his usual self too. 2nd in the table on a Saturday night. Good times :pint2:
what i noticed today, and i paid special attention to Gueye, is how he never gets caught out of position, even when he misses a tackle. when the opposition have the ball, he seems to always be hovering a few metres from the action regardless of where it is, and darts in to steal the ball if his teammate looks like getting beat. excellent footballing nous.

Very impressed with that showing today. Seems like Koeman wants to drill the basics back into the team and have everyone committed to the cause. Build a solid foundation and let things flow from there.

Liverpool fans saying we haven't played any big teams yet but naming Spurs as a big team they have played, idiots!

They got beat by Burnley, the weakest team they have faced so far. Football never goes accordingly or bookies would not beg for your money constantly.

They are worried about our form and so they should be. We beat West Brom, a team they held hands at home and celebrated a draw with.

Comfortable without ever hitting any great heights. Think Koeman will be delighted with result but will know we can improve hugely on that display.

A million miles on from the last two years though, very encouraging.

end of the second till lukaku went off we were utter class - walking through their defence with ease

VIEW'S PRETTY NICE FROM UP HERE.

Thing is, no one is getting carried away, a'la "its our year", not in a million miles.

But we are starting to be a team that no one will want to play. Strong at the back, destructive and threatening in midfield, with pace on both wings, and enough creative quality to hurt teams.

And a constant goal threat.

Not too shabby, but give it another half dozen games and see where we sit.
