Safe to say as good as we were at the beginning this formation isn't for us; whatever it is. The centre of midfield is so weak.

Haven't seemed to be able to put a decent midfield out since 13/14. Shame as we always had decent ones preceding that.

I actually thought we'd get some decent stuff from him, but I've been underwhelmed since he arrived to be honest.

Martinez effect maybe.
Tbf, you might be right, although I'm not holding my breath. THE MOST ANNOYING thing about him for me is when he makes a mistake, rather than get his head down and get the ball back he engages in some pre-pubescent drama as everyone else covers :)

I thought it was just me who was irritated by that.

Does my head in.

played fine there. last 15 minutes where we drop off is fitness, mental as much as physical. That will get ironed out in the next few games.

Few subs hopefully now and give everyone some minutes

another 40 odd games of this to look forward to..........not that confident of the on coming season.

....at least it manages expectation. Deulofeu's run and cross and Barkley busting a gut to get in the box and get on the end of it was encouraging but we do look wide open through the middle.

We can't judge our defending in pre season. Some of the players will still be on auto pilot from the RM regime.

RK is a very organised coach, give it time.

Tarashaj has looked a lot better than the Leandro Rodriguez's of the world. The offense has looked good until it looked tired late in the half, but the defense continues to be a concern. Then again, the defense included Pennington, Oviedo, Davies and Cleverly, 4 players who wont be starting during the season.
