This happens maybe once every 20 games, he gives ball away more than Barkley ever has and yet has somehow escaped being criticised for this in the same way Barkley has.

Don't know how often u watch us but your figures aee about as accurate as George Osborne. Osman makes a positive difference as often as he gives the ball away. Not really something you could say about ross.......yet

Barkley doesn't "give the ball away". His pass % is consistently the highest of everyone in our team and almost always in the 90% range.

There's a lot to criticise him this season but that's last season's criticism which unfortunately has screwed up his whole game.

I think he has intentionally put out a weakened team to keep them fresh for the Europa League.

4 points above the drop. That's ballsy.

He's using the squad. Which is the correct thing to do. He probably already knows who will come off after an hour, if the game is comfortable. Besic and Naismith will get some time today, also maybe Garbutt.

Someone just said Osman 'escapes criticism'.

This place has officially taken the plot for a long drive to the sticks somewhere, kicked it out the door and driven off.

And that's right, stats say that way too. He just makes bad decisions and a huge amount of 5 yard passes. Doesn't take any risk.
