Godfrey a shoe in for the rest of the season. Desperately needed some pace and aggression there.

He has to start as LB for me at the minute. Anyone with pace on the right will tear us apart without Godfrey. Digne was awful today.

Whole team was awful. Got absolutely hammered by a really poor team.

It was crap! The changes in defence corresponded with the demented calls to change the back four because defensive football is ‘unsustainable’ and it’s much more fun to lose with attacking players than to pick up points with top class defenders.

Abysmal. Fair play to Newcastle for showing that application to the task at hand is vital. Our lot were severely lacking that quality.

Carlo made a mistake by changing the defence. Coleman is finished we’ve known that for sometime. Godfrey and Holgate give us better stability. However it is further up the pitch that is my main concern. If anyone thinks Allan (although a class act) is going to transform us as an attacking team going forward, then they are mistaken. We at last have a goalscorer in DCL but no one to provide for him. The only creativity we have is James. We have no pace to hurt teams. Carlo must be backed with a pacy wide player otherwise we can forget about Europe let alone champions league places.

Very, very disappointed about this lost. New Castle has been rubbished 11 matches and we just allowed them to run us over. Ancelotti needs to figure out why we can't come up with good performances against this type of teams.

This is the most slow team of all the top 3 leagues. If this garbage football was coming with Sam or Silva in charge the reaction would be different. But with such hefty wages, Carlo is exept from his awful tactics.

Proper disappointment all this. Blown any chance of a top 4 in the last two matches.

Do have have to criticise this possession style play in the name of game management, against a relegated threatened side.

Just can't have Gomes Siggy and James on the pitch at the same time for me, not enough grit and aggression.

Another disgusting performance after ones were on here the other night talking about how we were good against leicester. Our results have been down to luck over Christmas and our real level was found in the defeats to hammers, newcastle twice, leeds... aside from Allan thats our strongest lineup and we were dominated by a team that lost last 5, no wins in 11 and conceded for fun.
We didnt create at all and absolutely no connection between defense, midfield and attack.
Decision making awful whether that be Doucs at the end, Digne charging across the pitch to their LB and leaving their striker free in the middle of the park, richy giving the ball away 70% of times he gets it, walks away when we have a throw in with his head down constantly instead of showing for it.
Horrible horrible display and the way we change it is to take off an attacker for a poor non-defensive/non-attacking midfielder while leaving Sig on the pitch.
Disgusting.
But hey ho, dont say anything negative or youre a kopite.
