You can draw those lines however you want and make it look reasonable. It may have been off but the system is so flawed.

The Everton squad is fine between the 18 yard boxes. They are not athletically overmatched. They just don't have anyone that is a reliable goal scoring threat and they don't control the ball enough in the box to pressure the defense into mistakes. They are in a goal scoring league and just can't score. That has been the known deficiency since the summer and this is the end result.

They are absolutely not fine between the boxes. There's not a single player who can create anything let alone get a simple pass right.
