Agree with that. They all looked properly fired up and got stuck in from the off. If DCL had caught that volley right rather than snatching at it too early it would have been a perfect game. Sure it won't affect him though. He's a confident lad. Coleman back (for a while), Young playing competently, Harrison and McNeill with energy and looking dangerous, Tarks, Jarrad and Myko looking tough as nails, Beto getting a good goal, Pickford having fun, Doucs being in the right place at the right time again and Gana - after a worrying first half hour - showing a bit more discipline. All this without the player we were all raving about last game and Onana. Gotta be happy tonight.

Going to be a lot of matches like that this season. Before xG was a thing, I always looked at shots on target. If you're getting plenty of those, you'll be OK.

I still think we're lacking in quality in many areas of the pitch but there's a definite "more than the sum of its parts" this season. So much more bravery - not just in tackles and blocks, but being brave to win the ball high up the pitch and being brave to get in the box to stick one in the back of the net.

There's an "everyone's a leader" mentality this season I think
