First time we won back to back league games in over a year and first time we had back to back clean sheets in the league in over a year.
That is a horrendous stat and thought that couldn’t be true. But it is. Even this season I thought that couldn’t be true because of our form recently. But that fluke Brighton goal stopped us.

West Ham H 1-0 and Southampton A 1-2 last September/October

We did win consecutive games earlier in the season but it was a league win followed by the Burnley cup win.

Hopefully it’s the start of more consistent results.

8 wins from the last 12 but that’s the first back to back in the league. Morale must be good. Performances are generally good.

Fingers crossed.

I do worry that what is happening to Newcastle could happen to us at some point

We do tend to play the same 11 week after week and whilst we don't have Europe to worry about (yet...), how far will Dyche fit get us before we too are on our knees?

But for now, UTFT

You know what? even after the team news was dropped last night I was weirdly calm about the game. Just a gut feeling that we still had a decent chance of taking something from it if we applied ourselves like we have done recently...

...3 nil was a stunning & unexpected result though! get in!

He often gets stick for the 'hard yards' and 'Dyche fit' stuff.. but it does make sense. Having a super fit team alone is easily worth a handful of extra points a season and he probably knows that.

Like you though, I just hope that this festive period doesn't result in a number of key injuries. Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of bench players rotated in for Chelsea..

I wouldn't worry about it, suspensions will give players a rest.

I feared the worse when I saw Garner was injured, especially with Onana out - But fear not! Doucs stood up and put in a shift as did Harrison, who never stopped trying all night and clearly offers somethign a bit different to Doucs in that position
