McNeill had his best game of the season and gave Trippier a bit of a tough ride. Thought our defence was immense again, there seems to be a calm authority, no doubt down to Tarkowski. DCL should have put us in front in the first half but we didn't let it affect us. The game was settled on two mistakes, 1) from Trippier and we scored two goals and 2) two mistakes by us that Gordon didn't score from. The third goal was the icing on the cake. Roll on Sunday.

Two solid centrebacks directing traffic. Everyone in front of them working as hard they can. Sometimes graft gets results.

It may seem a blatantly obvious statement but it's all about taking chances. Had we taken ours against United we would of won, fortunately we took ours against Forest and last night. When we had Cahill then Lukaku we would mostly take our chances. If we continue with this we will be safe.

This really is a key take from last night because of how many times this season, particularly at Goodison, we've let it affect us and gone on to lose. Hopefully last night serves as a turning point.

Exactly, and taking chances is habit forming. Need one or two of our players to go on a goalscoring run.
