The point was that, we’ll never know if it would have and most damming of all, the suggestion of keeping BFS around has been validated by this embarrassing horror show of a set up we have now.

The club is in a terrible mess at the moment.
The point is we do know based on the past few years, if you haven’t restructured the club in 3 and a half years then it’s not likely to happen. The idea of keeping BFS on was (and still is) not a valid one.
The club is in a mess because the present owners are clueless. We have to hope that Brands has some way out of the current mess.

There is usually a toilet seat between the bowl and the lid.To achieve your nut slam, I assume you have removed your seat. How do you find doing #twos with that set-up?
lol Well if you want to be pedantic, that’s what I meant. Slamming it between the seat and the bowl. I guess I was fuming to much at yesterday’s performance to worry about semantics... :p

I hear what you’re saying. I was glad to see the back of the man.

I only posted what someone else had posted on a different forum. The only point that I raised was that, due to the current shambles, the original poster had a point in saying that keeping bfs on while the restructuring took place actually carried some weight and that this was a damming indictment on where we are now - I see you don’t agree and I can understand why.

From what i understand, the club was restructured and new people were brought in at various levels. We operate with a director of football and Brands was added to the board. Between, BFS, Walsh, Koeman and now Silva there have been a series of catastrophic appointments by the club. The jury will remain out on Brands but he must now be coming under some serious pressure. The transfer policy and general feeling of failure around the club is palpable and the sooner Silva is gone the better.

There is now massive pressure on the club to get the next manager in and potentially back further spending in the January window and that’s if we are capable at all.

I broadly agree with most of that. Bottom line we’re in a mess. We need a few additions in January but I think we’ve got enough decent players (if used properly) to get us out of the mess. If and it’s a big if, we sack Silva now & get a decent manager in.

Flew in for this one. Let me tell ye boys. I am re writing this as I have said it before and I have no shadow of a doubt. When the others are running away top of the league in feb and we are stuck in bottom 3 we will be in big trouble. Why? Because that's the little but of extra pressure that will break us. We are soft. Very soft. There is zero fight in this team. Watching them yesterday was embarrassing. And the atmosphere at goodison is embarrassing. Nothing from Both team and fans. At least years ago ,when we were rubbish we as fans kept up our part and made it difficult for away teams. We look like the players ...zombies. there is zero intensity in Silva's outfit. Other teams press for 90 mins. We cant press for 5 mins. Zero tackles. We look like a fuzeball team. We are a club that looks like is going down. How can anyone disagree? Give me a reason. And saying there are others that are worse.....dont make me laugh. Silva out.

The reason for the bad atmosphere is because Silva and his spineless team have sucked all the hope and positivity out of the place and the only reason it isnt toxic like the end of Koeman era, is because nobody really has energy for it!

If your asking me that you never saw Bernie Wright play.
Scored for Walsall in a cup game against us. So we signed him
He was like a body builder trying to.play football

Yes I did see Bernie.

And I ask again, was he any worse than the Blue Angell?

He is ranked by many, including yours truly, as the benchmark for useless strikers.

Didn’t lay a finger on them

Bottom of the league Norwich, who have scored 1 away goal, rock up at Goodison to a team that has spent £400m over 3 years, and we didn’t cause them any real issues

We never looked like scoring.

Not even once.

That was as pathetic a home perfomance as we have seen in.many a long day, given the status of the opposition as being bottom of the table and before yesterday appearing to be relegation bound.

And they probably still are.

Pickford was actually terrible, wasn't he? Have never seen a goalkeeper find the advertising hoardings as often as he did yesterday.

Holgate has never been the answer, he's just currently slightly better than that absolute liability Keane. Criminal from Brands to not bring in a centre half.

Sidibe - he has seemingly no positional sense. Salah is going to have a field day in the derby.

Digne is being ruined by having no effective partner to play with. Bernard has to be brought back into the team immediately.

Davies, like Holgate, isn't good enough. A nice few games recently but we all know he's Championship material at best. Paired with that coward Schneiderlin makes him look even worse.

Sigurdsson has to depart the starting eleven now. A lack of influence and effort has seen to that. Why spend 35m on Iwobi if you won't play him? Silva blindly sticking by his favourite players sickens me.

Tosun never should start again.

Spot on.

We were lead to believe his "distribution" was very good.

I have yet to see it.
