the reality is when we miss sum of our better players..... Average is a compliment

we could argue all day about the ref ..the soft free kick that led to the goal.... but ULTIMATELY when you defend like that ( sidenote JOHNNY H is far from a player of the year currently) you concede and when instead of changing it around you hesitate you concede

yes mate he did he was making far too many mistakes in the defensive third and he is first and foremost a defender, basics. we don't have any other options though at RB so best hope he cuts out the mistakes sooner rather than later. anyway enough of coleman he wasn't even on the pitch...pienaar sh!t etc

Indeed. It's not weven a Coleman thing it's a general criticism that even after all this time in charge we dont have anything other than a predictable chip and charge + Baines/Pienaar combo to hit teams with.

For the first time for a sustained run of games, we've been hitting the opposition hard all season getting forward. Whether Coleman is really injured or not doesn't detract from the fact Moyes has no options there to get us going on the right in his absence. Criminal really.

Did anyone see the end of the Sunderland v WBA game?

West Brom had the lead but still continued to attack Sunderland for a killing goal. Sunderland were stretching themselves for an equaliser so the gaps appeared and their better quality told in the end as they got a third and then a fourth.

Refreshing that. Not something you see much of with Everton is it? Never mind away from home.

The best way to defend is to attack and give pressure to the opposition.

The whole set piece thing for me, is 80% down to Howard. Doesn't command his box enough and it's rare you see him claim a cross. Don't understand why because he's a big fella.

dont agree wit this ( yes he should hav an impact in the organisation but 80% i think is letting the real culprits off the hook)

JAGS is not only present but he s also the captain so he should let everyone know that NO ONE should be in any doubt of their jobs to defend that free kick.alas JOhnnyH decided he look at bassong heading it in rather than challenging him

It will takes 2 days for me to clam down a bit. So gutted. FFS Everton...

me too mate , never been so angry with everton like i have been over the last month . at least years ago when we got beat or dropped points its because we had a poor side but now we have a really good side which hurts more

From 20th December 2010:

I'd bet you anything I can reasonably afford that we will.

Or, more specifically, we'll keep shape until the 60th minute then go "back to wall" and "Moyes" it till the 90th minute, hanging on desperately to a 2-2 draw at best.

I'll quote this after 90 minutes whether I'm right or wrong!

"Moyesing it" should become a familiar phrase, meaning that if you play well the first half, then you'll go negative as f*** in the second half. A synonym for "bottling it".

Even when we win, we do exactly the same, and it shouldn't be forgotten simply because we fluke three points. We have a negative, tactically clueless manager.
