Match Thread Everton v Notts Forest. Sun Dec 29th. 3pm

After 3 good draws can we win a game .
Won't be easy but it's very achievable. We haven't a bad record since they came back up really.
@matty1878 prediction mate ?

And yes I called them Notts forest on purpose

NOTTINGHAM Forest

More importantly, you’re a bit of a bogey side for us since we got promoted. 1 of only 4 PL teams we haven’t beaten (along with Man City, Bournemouth and Wolves)

I fancied us v Spurs today. Fancy us less in this. Dyche knows us inside out as he watches us all the time (he lives near Trent Bridge)

Will be interesting to see what Nuno does. Hard to counter v Everton. I’m guessing we’ll play it very patiently and hope to nick a goal.

I missed out on tickets for this, so I’ve probably been to Goodison for the last time. I’ll miss the place, having first gone as a young kid 40 years ago, and about 15 times since. Like most Forest fans, I’ve a huge respect for Everton - we see you, like Villa, as great historic clubs who deserve success more than the ‘Big 6’. Hopefully we can beat you here though.

Notts Forest are having a good season mate tbf

Mad statement mate. Were they anywhere near the sort of financial calamity we were in?

I'm afraid just calling Evertons results 'not acceptable' does nothing to help us win games.
It’s mad how many fans, and I mean grown adult fans, think that we should be dominating like the 1980s because we have the name Everton, and a Latin moto but fail to see sporting success relies on buckets of cash spent correctly

They have brought pace into the side and the manager has brought a balance. They are still not as good as us player to player but just have a better balance. This balance cannot happen at Everton until we bring pace into the team. Wingers and attacking full backs would transform us as we would not have to depend on total defending hence those said positions would force back attacking teams rather than the current invite

Didn't we beat wolves when Mina got a brace of headers?

It worries me that not losing is now our success. I accept that draws against City, Chelsea and Arsenal is something that I didn’t expect but let that not blind us to the fact that we need to finish above 3 other teams and to do that we need to win some games. We need Sean Dyche to change his mind set and try and come out and actually beat somebody.

I was so shocked today in the match thread, that I credited Ndiaye's goal to City.

True fact.

I think considering the slate of games we got through the draws are fine. Hopefully the mindset differs now
