Again, my opinion. I've not called directly anyone on here pathetic (as you said), but yes, I do think it is pathetic to slate and abuse a player so much after one bad game, but to not give credit after a good game.

Hey lads could all 3 goals be classed as own goals. Barkleys was just the merest of deflections but would it have been on target or possibly smashed the post. Would have mirallass shot been on target. The replays showed that Green got a hand to Naismiths header to take it off target only to hit a defender and go in. Would be a bit harsh if all own goals especially on Barkley.

Anyway STAYING ON TOPIC I also think that in addition to playing Besic-McCarthy CDM at Soton, the Pienaar/Baines partnership will add some much needed creativity.
A lot of people slated Pienaar after the Krasnodar exhibition but unlike many on here I was actually there, and more than satisfied with what I saw.

Sarcasm...I've watched a lot of Swansea this season; if Lukaku got the kind of service Bony has got, he'd have more goals than Aguero.
The slating of Lukaku is getting boring, but it's all about the transfer fee - it's a millstone around his neck. As a loan player he never got this kind of stick even though he is MUCH improved from last season.
I honestly think that us Everton fans don't really know how to handle having such an expensive player play for us. He's cost almost double our next most expensive player. We're not used to that. In our heads that means he ought to be twice as good. But you don't spend that kind of money to get someone twice as good - you spend it to get someone that is 5%, or manbe 10% better. FML I can name a lot more £25-30m transfers that are worse than Rom than are better.

Personally I think Barkley and Mirallas will get credit. Naismith's I think is an OG...Green got a hand to it and it went in off one of the center halves

Thought we done well tonight, not the best performance but done enough and were much better in front of goal. As much as I think Naismith is boss and he made a massive difference tonight the guy can't pass. Imagine how much better he would be if he could just pass a ball!!

A player is worth whatever a team is prepared to pay. The price of Lukaku is absolutely irrelevant. We desperately needed a striker with quality. Do you remember how excited you were when we found out we got him on loan? Imagine, back then, when we only had Anichebe, that we would be signing a striker of Lukaku's quality.
