The aim for the season isn’t to win at Anfield. The aim is Europe.

We’ve won at Anfield now, it’s done, let’s move on to the next one.

Our home form must improve. It has been dreadful.

Southampton completely had us when we last played them so it is going to be another very tough match.
Keep the faith we have Carlo.

So, which way will the Carlo rollercoaster, or the Big Dunc-er, pivot now? I think we will do very well to win this game, even though Southampton are massively brittle (how else does a side lose 9-0 twice?) and have an appalling record at Goodison.

The good thing about this being a Monday game is we have a full week to get everyone fresh and fit, can see a similar line up to last night with maybe Gomes dropping out for DCL. Can see Pickford playing this and Chelsea the following Monday with Olsen starting at West Brom on the Thursday

Going forward he needs to stop messing about with the back 4 and not change it unless due to injury.

Needs to play Doucoure, Allan & Davies as a midfield 3.

Pickford
Holgate Keane Godfrey Digne
Allan Davies Doucoure
Rodriguez DCL Richarlison

Thats our best team on paper at the moment - dont want to be seeing Coleman, Slowmes or Siggurdsson forced into it.

All of those 3 are fine off the bench to see a game out when the pace of the play has died down.

Stick with that team and we'll get top 7 we cant keep tinkering all the time all it does is disrupt partnerships on the pitch and prevents chemistry from being built.

The aim is to win as many games as possible but the Derby win is one of the more important ones. 22 years at Anfield, 11 years in total. Thank goodness those are over because are bad records.

We will have some more poor results but we need to make sure performances are consistently better. If we can do that then we have a chance.

We've put on massive demon in its place this week winning at the pit, another next week please in winning a home game against a team we "should" be on paper.

Win next week, DCL and Allan coming back games spreading out and we can definitely get ourselves into Europe UTFT

8 days break to get ready for a busy week with 3 games in 8 days. Yesterdays result will be quickly forgotten about if we drop points against Southampton on Monday and WBA on Thursday.
