That's one way of looking at it. But it's not like we haven't spent an insignificant sum either over the last few years. And that's the squad depth we have, either through injury, misfortune (cough), or players brought really not being up to it.

Oh the club has definitely wasted most of the money spent since Moshiri has been here. That being said even if it was spent well we'd have a worse squad than Chelsea, City, UTD, etc. They bring in vastly more in commercial deals and from years of playing in Europe. Plus they can attract players with trophies and titles.
