We’ve seen that go wrong before. Forest took decades to recover, Man City dropped another division. Sheffield wed have never came back up.
We would be the cup final for every team in the division next year
We might aswell get used to it as its going to happen :( Also, wasn't city just crap until the money so not sure they count.

Can't remember a more consistently idiotic team than ours, what are Gray, Gordon and Pickford doing on there 2nd goal, dumb and dumber and even more beyond belief dumber than anyone has ever seen before at Goodison.

At current standing, a single win puts Everton 14th. Though we’d all still be unhappy with total points, the feeling of being there vs bottom 3 is significant. Small player changes could make the difference. 54 points remain available, it’s not mathematically possible to be top half (historically) but being safe in bottom half is easily achievable from here with a few changes. Right the ship but be planning what’s next. That is what is needed from the executives. I’d argue they’re not capable given what we’ve seen from them over the last few years.

And it's not their fault.
It's recruitment.
And the stakes are very very high. You think that chant is helpful right now?
Probably not helpful but I'm not going to have a go at fans who are sitting watching this rubbish

As I said, the fault lies with whoever decided to bring these mediocre players to the club. Commitment and effort isn't always there either with squad so I dont know where we go from here.

Deep down I always believed we would somehow find a way to safety last year. But not this year unfortunately, I think our race is run in this league. It's our time to go.

Moshiri loses even more credibility if he sacks another manager after backing him 2 days ago
Not really bothered about Moshiri losing face. This is all about Everton winning football matches. And we are just not doing that under Lampard. And of course , bringing in another manager is always a risk. But imo it’s a bigger risk sticking with Lampard. And even if Lampard can galvanise this team to beat West Han , and that’s a big if. What next?
Lampard imo should have been gone at the beginning of the World Cup.
And I’m not expecting miracles from a new manager. Just one thing that I’m expecting now from someone new. And that’s just that we do enough to stay in this league. Build again and go again next season. But not with Lampard.
The guy doesn’t even know when to make substitutions.
Ah well. Next up the Hammers. Expect the same line up. Same formation. Same old dross. Altogether now…….Up the Toffees.

One thing we will learn from the coming days is that if Kenwright hasn't stepped down by next weekend, then the man doesn't have the clubs best interest at heart, only himself.

I think I already know the answer.
