But we will be again.

Positivity (but not the blind, Martinez type).

I know a lot has changed in a year and I didn't end up being the biggest fan of Martinez, but what a great attacking game we took to them at St Marys in the corresponding fixture last year we absolutely blew them out of the park and Ross played one of his best games for us.

This time around I don't care how we do it but we need a victory against this lot, firstly to get us back on track and secondly to keep the Saints at bay.

I hope the team don't feel any pressure to get a result, because if they do, they'll bottle it.
Nil confidence in this Everton team...overpaid and underperforming mercenaries, pretty much the lot of them.
The whole game of association football reeks of the same malaise...gone right off it if I'm honest.

at least there isn't any silly pre game dancing, that would be the last straw

Some dates you are not allowed to forget.
27th. November is one of those dates.
40 years ago on 27th November 1976 I married my wife. That date we played WBA at the Hawthorns and right through the reception I kept popping out to phone Radio Merseyside reception to ask the score. We got beat that day 3-1.
So forever the crow that I am, there it is. During the special dinner on Sunday that I have booked for myself and my beloved, I again will be checking by phone the score and again it will be 3-1 for the home team:oops:
Getting married during the season?!?!? What were you thinking mate???!!!
BTW Happy anniversary to you and Mrs Tomytowne....40 years, bravo!!

Would've conceded just as many any other day, I recall they missed a few golden chances due to poor marking!

The marriage mirrors Everton's fortunes during that time. Off to a good start then hit a rocky spell until the mid eighties when happiness returns. A period of relative satisfaction then followed interspersed with a couple of dodgy moments and a rare spike of euphoria. Then a gradual acceptance things are as good as they are ever likely to be.
