Can’t believe Dyche has deliberately made some of our players ill and injured. How dare he play youngsters and O’Brien on a day when everyone has demanded he play youngsters and O’Brien.

Its a very different lineup, and the bench is terrible, but if they can’t compete in a game of football with Southampton, why on earth are they at the club?

Weird how everyone is ill except dyche

He can’t win either win on here though. Most want changes then moan when it’s not the changes they want. Most people don’t want Young or DCL, he’s listened, same with people wanting to see O’Brien and Dixon he’s done that too. He can’t please everyone at the same time.

P.s I don’t like Dyche either but he can’t win sometimes.
Most don't want to see Young but 'nobody' wants to see Keane.

P.s Dyche can't win ever, literally.

"We want a group that wants to challenge itself. Unfortunately, we’ve got three down with illness and a number of injuries that we’re going to have to protect so we’ve got no choice for this one.

"It’s the reality of where we’re at and therefore we want players to come in and take on the challenge.

"Young players are coming in – go and experience what it is to play at Goodison."

Also against Premier League opposition, which some of them wouldn’t have had?

"Southampton have invested over the last couple of years and done a good job of getting into the Premier League. They’ve had a tough start, that can happen.

"They’re certainly to be reckoned with. Like I said, we’re at Goodison, regardless of the challenge, we take it on. That’s what we’ve been building here and that’s what we want to continue building – growing and maturing into a team that can take on the challenge."

Will Dwight McNeil slot into the left-back position?

"There’s a chance. We’ve had to change things tactically due to what we’ve got available. Youngy’s played 90 on Saturday so we’ve got to be careful with him. We’re trying to play a team that can win a game. It’s not always easy but that’s the challenge in front of us."
