Great write up, I cant be positive I feel we are getting left behind in a lot of ways, financially, and on the results front, please prove me wrong :-(

We've got the best Academy in the league, our focus is on developing talent, we go about our business the right way, proper club is Everton.

Besic, Barkley and who else in centre-mid?

The teamsheets haven't been announced so that's pure speculation on LiveScore's part.

I imagine it will be something like this...

Howard

Coleman, Stones, Funes-Mori, Baines

Besic, Barry

Lennon, Barkley, Mirallas

Lukaku

Can't see Cleverley been fit tbh, and Kone needs dropping. I'd also start Del from the bench for this one with an eye to the City game - Lennon and Kev played well against Newcastle and will be fresh having been rested for Stoke.

Ahh okay, I thought you meant Barry was being rested, so I was asking out of sheer disbelief.

Nice review as always Chico lid.

It's somewhat unbelievable that should we win today despite throwing points away up to this point we would be still handily placed for a European push.

So I reckon that means we'll lose 1-3, Lukaku's opener being cancelled out by a dodgy pen, a Howard own goal and one by some bloke I've never heard of who hasn't scored for Spurs yet this season.

Thierry Henry reckons we need the reach the holy grail to hang on to ross rom and john, this is just typical of the media today, cant see past the end of its own nose, personally I think 1 of the 3 might leave in the summer but what makes me laugh is in the next breath the panel are discussing the young spurs team and saying how they can play together for 7-8 years! Maybe do something special.

Goes to show the difference in attitude towards the 2 clubs, they're almost willing spurs to go on and break the top 4 but with us it seems like every time were on the cusp, evidenced by the loanerton shambles 2 years ago, the media go out their way to disrupt the progress.

Not Tha were on the cusp of anything at the minute, but get a good keeper and a good defensive coach in and there's room for optimism

Howard will start again today, its a nap. The main thing with Howard at the minute for me is he's guaranteed his place, so he doesn't have the pressure to perform well on his shoulders.
Same with kone

The media has a very weird relationship with Spurs, they loved Redknapp's Tottenham, treated AVB appallingly and loathed his side (except Gareth Bale) and willed them to destruction, loved Sherwood - for his passion (despite showing the tactical nouse of a obese cat stuck in a cat-flap), they didn't like Pochettino at the start but have since warmed to him due to heavy English influence on his squad and the performance of United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Paul Merson and 'Lawro' in particular view Spurs as always over achieving, always on the cusp of failure. It is the same media that prefers Liverpool to Everton that prefers Arsenal to Spurs, primarily because it is dominated by Arsenal and Liverpool supporters and former players.
