I read that Martinez wanted the crowd to get behind the players. How about they don't start in their [Poor language removed] slippers, don't play as if they're struggling through 500 mg of mogadons and manage to string some passes together in the first 15 minutes. I'd also appreciate them winning some one on ones and looking like the hungrier team - something I've not seen since the southampton team.

You can hardly blame the Goodison crowd when they start so poorly. This is down to Martinez. He's the one that's setting the tone and having them not so much spring out of the traps as flop out.

He's not unlucky to lose his place, he'd have been told Before Norwich that it was only for one game. Keepers are used to that sort of thing, there is a number one and a number two.
