Hard to say who was MOM but I can tell you who it wasn’t... Michael Keane. Kept tripping on the ball, think he called DCL for the first goal?

Pundits banging on about mistakes from Spurs cost them but there were plenty for us as well, Mina not sorting his legs out, miscommunication first goal, awful marking from Sigs...

But let them ignore us ffs, we don’t care

One thing for certain is this Everton team has a real desire to win. In amongst our discipline and hard work we catch teams out, manage games, force mistakes, and play good attacking passing footy. We scored 5 super goals tonight against a top 4 team.

Toss up between Davies and Doucoure for me but the Duke was everywhere, seemed to actually get fitter the longer the game went on.

Get in there

Jermaine Jenas takes defeat well doesn’t he
I watched it on Bein Sports on a totally legal small river. The pundits were Nicky Summerbee, who I'd forgotten was a player, and Aron Gunnarson, who I'm not sure was ever a player but apparently played for Coventry! What did Jermaine have to say?

I had it the other way round but Tom played great tonight, full of energy and didn't give the ball away too much, which has been his problem in the past. Carlo's found Davies' position and he is really benefitting.
Both showed great energy today but TD seemed to not pass blindly like he often has done, he was playing to feet then moving into pockets of space. Probably his best game for us I can remember

....wtf is the analysis.

I think Sigurdsson got 3 assists and it’s exactly why Richarlison has to play despite the doubters. Terrific cameo from the much maligned Coleman and Davies and Godfrey dying for the cause.

How good was Doucoure, though. My word, my MoM. Spurs win the cup in years ending one, but not this one. Sometimes your name is on it.

the BT post match was 70% spurs talk, koff BT, the Toffs are on the march

Some of Jose Mourinho After Game Press P/C

Jose on the attack

We played well when we had the ball. We were very creative and dynamic.

Jose on Kane

Harry played 60. Of course we didn't want to go to extra time.

Jose on defence

Don't make me speak too much please about the defensive mistakes we made. I think that's obvious. I don't feel comfortable speaking about that.

Mourinho on Bale

Well I think it's better for me to say. So we played against West Bromwich on the Sunday and he didn't play. On Monday I was a little bit surprised by him wanting to have a scan because he was not comfortable with some muscular area.

So he didn't train on Monday and then on Tuesday he trained with the team but I was informed that his desire would be to work with the sports science for a couple of days to strengthen that area. That's the reason why he's not here.

With coming back from 2 goals down on Saturday and now recovering from blowing a 2 goal lead, Id like to think that our mentality has really improved - in recent years, both of those games would have seen us finish on the losing side. While there were plenty of flaws on our part in both games, our ability to dig in for the result has been impressive. Teams like Spurs often seem to get the edge (or luck) in games like the one we saw tonight, so nice to see us rewriting the same tired old script. UTFT.
