Will say though disgusting decision to send off Son, certainly wasn’t a red card challenge and wasn’t even the cause of the injury, the lad was distraught and Atkinson should have used common human decency

Sorry, cant agree with that. That was a revenge tackle, played the man knew what he was doing. Cant play the victim because he didn't mean to hurt him that much. He went with intent and it backfired on him. Plus he dodged a yellow for the dive. I hope they come down hard on him.

Silva survives another week.

We fail to beat a team at home doing as badly as us. More reasons to justify not winning and at least it's not a loss.

Midfield ripped apart and it's only November.

Each game down takes us closer to the point of no return in regards to replacing Silva. Only 2 wins in 11 , he was sacked for less at Watford. We aren't seeing any benefit from ignoring that, I dread to think what will happen if we don't win the next 3.

But.....I did say before kick off we needed 10 from 12 at least and we are on course for that. So can't really kick off on here until next week

Silva will argue if VAR does its job, he gets 3 points at Brighton and 3 today... Putting us on 16 points, and 8th spot....

Personally I find it hard to see a future for him....

Not though is he. Son lashes out at Gomes, if you watch the 30 seconds leading up to the foul its obvious he was angry and kicks out. It results in a fellow player having spaghetti for a leg. Its dangerous play. If Son keeps his cool there and plays like a pro Gomes doesnt get injured.

Exactly. In RL the referee explains why he is referring the incident and his decision. The TMO looks at the incident and explains his decision. It's all clear to the players and the supporters. VAR is a mess.

Two good pundits. Glad to see they are speaking up against it and pointing out the inconsistencies. Another weekend of football over and the main talking point is VAR.

I've always thought the problem with VAR was that the people who are making the decisions are referee's themselves.

Awful injury . Here's hoping that Gomes makes a complete recovery. And gets back to something like his best. Although I suspect that will not be for about a year. Maybe more. Good luck to the lad.

As for our team I hope that Schniederlin is not reinstated. Delph I suspect will now be a regular. I hope also that Davies is. This is his chance.
And Siggy or Iwobi will now make up our line of three. Hopefully Iwobi can be used centrally. Maybe Beni on the bench.
Tosun now deserves to play next week.(he scores goals when he plays).

And I suppose Silva has got a reprieve. Although I still want him gone.

Last point........it's time that we as a club started to complain about VAR.
The powers that be at Goodison need to officially complain about VAR and certain referees. Make it known that we are not happy. #### the FA.
I don't care if they are not amused. Who cares. It's a bloody disgrace.
Ask them straight out if there is an agenda against Everton.......We don't have to accept every bloody decision. Let people know that we are not happy.

Definitely get well soon Gomes.
Anyone that thinks son tried to injure him hasn’t played the game. He tried to clip which anyone who’s played even 5 a side has done at some point, but not to to break his legs.

Things like that happen in football, and the tackle wasn't very ugly. Never a red card. 15-20 years ago it would not have been near a yellow card. The injury was not due to the tackle directly, but because of the way he landed.
