I really don't know what to make of this game anymore. We are seeing politics seep into Var. The technology works the people looking at it are the ones to blame. The last few weeks have me baffled.

I feel terrible for Gomes, That kind of injury changes a career. Seamus has never been the same god help him and I think his personality is a bit tougher than Andre, I really hope I am wrong but I am worried we have seen the best of Andre. Son came in from behind with deliberate intent to not just foul but to foul hard. I am fine with the red.

I admire Richarlison's talent but at times I am embarrassed he wears the shirt. Grow up son and get off the ground you are too good a player to behave like that. His game lacks integrity. Had he not acted like a 10 year old most of the game he may have got that call at the end on Davison when he was clipped, when we really needed it.

Holgate played well except for his flyby on the Dele goal. He has nice pace and his game complement's Mina's nicely. Keep him in. Davis was MOTM for me i counted 3-4 beautiful through balls. Keep him in.

The volley by Digne was class. Thank god Tosun got to it first. The fact i had to type that tells us the state of our strikers. I miss Rom and his voodoo mom.

I also don't know what to make of Silva. I want to like him but we fired Keoman for similar results with a poorer squad and a harder schedule. To be fair we were the better team today and should have won.

I really like Mina no one wants to play against him. We don't have enough players like that.

Brands, buying for the future is fine but you you need to bring in enough players that perform now to steady the ship. Despite some good buys our lack of a proven striker is all on you.

Post was longer than I intended my apologies.

Sadly, I feel Soton will have too much for our brave lion hearts, (with it being away and all), so I’m disappointed not to get 3 pts against a very poor Spurs outfit. Having said that, we too are a very poor outfit, so I guess a draw is a not unreasonable outcome.
Our brave lionhearts.......more like our useless little buttercups. Jeez.......what could we not do with a good old fashioned "dogs of war" attitude. To see us through this season.

Gomes out for the season at least by the look of the images. Think we are now in a relegation battle.

Have no interest in seeing any images or replays, I could see his leg in real time...
Would imagine he'll be out for 9-10 months, and even then players rarely return the same after a leg break like that...

Get well soon Gomes... But I fear the worse...

I'm sick of Richarlson too, where's this great player I've heard about? Every time he gets the ball, he just stands there with it between his feet until someone tackles him, then he goes down like the cheat he is! He is a disgrace and an embarrassment, if anyone had to get snapped it should have been him instead of Gomes.
Whoa!!! It shoudn't have been anyone.

Did Atkinson give a single decision in favour of Richarlison? I don't remember any but I do remember him gesturing that it was shoulder to shoulder. I remember the same trash from referees with Fergusson; i.e. he's big enough to look after himself and therefore you can kick lumps out of him. Reflect on the treatment a darling like Henri used to get at the same time.

Duncan Ferguson? Richarlison is a small baby compared to him and would have been slaughtered in the 90's. However, I thought Richarlison was a better footballer, but I'm beginning to doubt it. Must be a dream for the opponent to face.

Until an unbiased ex professional footballer is on the VAR panel they will never sort it out. Tim Cahill talks so much sense the sooner he's got his coaching badges the better. Anthony Taylor looking at the screen, umming and ahing for five minutes was pathetic. Was it intentional handball? No, so get on with it FFS.

Just seen a different view of the tackle. He gets thrown off balance from Son's challenge into Aurier who is coming towards him, Aurier seems to step on Gomes' foot as he's going down which stops it in place and I think all of his body's momentum is then put onto the ankle.
Not that it matters, I don't believe any malice was in it from any player.

Entirely on Son, Aurier is just there and can't avoid it. Son goes flying in from yards back, no intention for the ball. See Spurs fans defending it on twitter saying it should never been a red.

Cant have someone 'taking one for the team' and braking someone's ankle a result only being a yellow. No intention to hurt but actions have consequences. Son will miss 2/3 games, Gomes will miss months and months.

Shocking comment this.

Had the nerve to mention embarrassment too.
