There's a real case for playing Besic in the Osman / Pienaar role. He's really tidy on the ball and can hold it up - exactly what we've been missing.

I still don't think Besic has 90 good minutes in him. He deteriorates around the 75-80min and mistakes creep in. He played great but was starting to wane a bit.

Well, that was very, very painful to watch. Nowhere near enough shots at goal despite all the possession and the packed defence. Barkley seems to have completely lost it as an attacking force, he plays as if he's had his wings clipped. The atmosphere at the ground sounded foul judging from the commentary. Everything's fallen apart, I can't understand it because on paper we surely have a better team than last year. We desperately need a little injection of attacking flair during this transfer window. I really think we can write off a top six finish now, and I can't see us progressing much further in Europe; all we have left imo is to rebuild for next season.
