Barkleys loss of form has been by far the most severe. He really does very little right at the moment. Cheque books at Chelsea and City have been put away with a massive "Phew"

I'm saying he was crap. Sensationally crap. But he was by no means the only one, and he's by no means the stand out worst player on the pitch over this horrible run. Lukaku was useless tonight, so was Naismith, McGeady has been woeful, Mirallas anonymous more often than not.

You can't single out one player in a team of losers.

At last some honesty!

Barkley no longer seemingly bullet proof!

Everton 0-0 West Brom

Posted at22:09

Everton's Steven Naismith, speaking to Sky Sports about the penalty: "We have won the pen and the ball has fell to Kev, Kev is so confident, he showed in the FA Cup game against West Ham that he very confident then and he slotted his penalty away. He is in form and he is playing well so he wanted to step up and take it. Unfortunately he has missed but we should have had enough in the 90 minutes (to win) rather than relying on the penalty.

Asked if Baines is the penalty taker, Naismith adds: "No, Baines had a very good record and then he missed at Man Utd earlier this season, which was disappointing for him. We have got some fantastic players and Kev's dead-ball play is fantastic. Like I said, he was obviously confident from how he played West Ham, and how he started this game. So he fancied it and stepped up to take it, he has got to show he is man enough to take it, and he did so."

So either Naismith is lying or Martinez's man management is utter diarrhoea.

"Oh you missed one penalty in fourteen or whatever, KEV LAD, YOU'RE UP!"

Sure we can, some of us have been doing it for years.

Looks like it is time to start working out who can't catch us. I think any hopes of a good run of results to get us to 7th or 8th have been put to bed tonight. The players we have are better than our league position, they either can't or won't play the way they are being asked to play. This is a managerial problem, if Martinez can't get it sorted, and it appears he can't, we need someone who can.
I wanted Everton to be a passing side sweeping past teams with aplomb but it is time to realise it is not happening. Time for Plan B even if it means bringing in a new manager.

because the kid seems to think you can play professional football at a jog. The lad did not do 1 flat out sprint in 94 mins. joke
