Great preview again Chico. Can't wait for this game, in work until 1PM and then I can look forward to it. Will take a scrappy 1-0 win right now.

We have 6 cbs. 6. There's no excuse for ever playing heitinga.

especially as martinez doesn't rate him. i think the main reason he's on the bench ahead of duffy atm is because he can also play DM and as we are so short in that position, you can kind of respect that decision.

duffy didn't get much game time in the pre-seasons though, then again, most of heitinga's was at DM?

*Everton have dropped just four points from a possible 21 from their seven Premier League home meetings with WBA.
*West Brom have failed to score a goal in four of their last six Premier League games away from home.
*Just one of the previous 14 Premier League meetings between these two sides has ended in a draw.
*Everton averaged the highest possession figure of all Premier League sides on the opening weekend (67%), as well as the second best passing accuracy (88%).
*Shane Long scored a goal in each of the two Premier League meetings between Everton and West Brom last season, with both arriving in the 65th minute.
*Roberto Martinez has won just one of his last nine matches as a manager in the Premier League (W1 D4 L4).
*The Baggies have won only one of their last 10 Premier League games (W1 D3 L6).
*Matej Vydra averaged a goal every 126 minutes and 15 seconds in the 2012-13 Championship for his former club Watford; a better ratio than any other player with 10+ goals.
*Nikica Jelavic has scored just one goal in his last 20 hours and 36 minutes of Premier League football for Everton.

Anelka failed to register a single attempt on goal against Southampton, so he's not neccessarily a huge loss for them. I'd imagine that Clarke would recall either Brunt or Dorrans to pack the midfield. I think their game plan will be to try and frustrate us and make us work for a breakthrough but, if we get an early goal, it could be a stroll. It will be interesting to see if Martinez has more ideas when teams park the bus than Moyes did.

Jagielka>Distin>Alcaraz>Heitinga>Stones>Duffy?

Alcaraz is injured and everyone starts with a fresh slate under a new manager. Johnny was player of the year a couple of seasons ago and is an established international, so it's common sense that he should step in. If he has a nightmare then Martinez might decide that he has no further use for him and to ship him out before the end of the window.

I just don't think I can trust him in one of two CD births anymore mate after last season. I know what you're saying, but think of the kecks dude.

I love these Chico. Not looking forward to the Palace ones though. Really I'm not.
First photo of that shouting blert looks like Roy Hudd, which is odd, as he's Palace. He is certainly that old though.
