That point doesn't hold much weight as this is football. Last season we went from getting violated by Wigan at home to beating the champions 2-0. We played well last week and will be at home in front of a packed Goodison against a bang average side.

I'm going for a bit of a convincing 3-1 Everton win. The players will take a lot from how they performed against Norwich, following on from pre-season. A bit of real confidence helps bring consistent good results. Martinez always seemed to get all his players trying to give their very best for him. I expect he prepares well, and is such a smooth articulate talker, must be easier to convey to players what he wants from them.
