as i said its guys / gals like him i feel sorry for ....paying in to witness that pile of crap yesterday and then your mind is reliving it over and over while we have to listen to verbal diarrhoea coming out of those attached to the club

I don't boo mate. But I think it's embarassing for us. The lad simply isn't good enough, it reminds me massively of Brett Angell. Killer striker in the lower leagues, not in the top league.

Can we say this is one Moyes got wrong? Or too early? I'd give it to the end of the season.

Not saying you will boo him but it will happen from a significant minority. Beckford will be the scorer of great goals but will never be a great goalscorer.

If Moyes had watched him enough (I suspect he didn't) he would know he misses lots of chances. What I have seen in his last 2 appearances for you is pretty much what we have seen the past 4 years at Leeds and is what Beckford is.

Still may make it at your level but I think the odds are against.

Yeah but he was free, so worth a punt.

Just wow.

Looks like that run we went on just temporarily papered over the cracks.

Other than Cahill, we have no goalscorers this term and we're letting goals in at an alarming pace.

When West Brom comes to Goodison and smashes us all over the show, we're in real trouble.

We are and if we get relegated we're going to pull a Southhampton and go right into bankruptucy.

sick to death of the under preforming blues..makes my stomach sick..time for a clear out...pinnear/johnny/saha(hes not interested).we need to buy a good goal scoring center forward..i disagree with some off the comments about beckford..i think he will come good(hopefully anyway).would be surprised to see us get a win v chellsea but then again i wouldnt be surprised to see us getting bet by 4..

terrible start to end, the lack of cummunication between the back four
was terrible, its like without neville we havent got a leader in the team
someone to lift the team up and get us going like he does
arteta being given the captains armband [ new what he was doing] and deserved the sending off
would think he would have more sense than to do what he done, coleman dropped for who.. hibbert?
dont understand why atall fair to hibbert he tries his best but he's not good enough end off
jags had a terrible game , vic straight in the starting 11 what's moyes playing at , yes he's played
some reserve games but if vics good enough then why not start rodwell because hes one of the
biggest prospects [think thats the word , not good at my english today] in the league at the moment, even the world
[jags give the ball away to many times.. could go on for ever, something needs to be done, and it needs to be quick
if were to have a deecent season , come on you blues.

I can't get my head around this one - I'll try to be objective.

There were many things about this performance to be extremely disappointed with - sloppy defending, poor finishing - an element of indiscipline.

Well let's get the worst bit over with first - losing at home to such an ordinary side is pretty depressing. Yes, I know they won 3-2 at Arsenal and (luckily) got a 2-2 at Man Utd but I wasn't really impressed with WBA - I will concede the free-kick was a great strike but the goal conceded from the corner was plain sloppy.

So, let's try and dispassionately examine this game and what went wrong: I thought that for the first 70-75 minutes (until we visibly tired and conceded possession) that we were, in spite of all the shoddy aspects (of which more later) the better side. In the first 30 minutes I thought we utterly dominated the game and WBA were cynical in the tackle and pretty disorganised. Typically we failed to capitalise on this. (However was Yak clean through when he 'went down'?)

Then we contrived to p**s away any number of decent chances - Beckford hang your head in shame - before Mr. Mason produced his impression of David Blunkett and lost the plot (if indeed he ever had a clue - remember the Wolves game in August anyone?) - and still even with 10 men we deserved to equalise.

So, onto the problems - Heitinga - please go - right now. Arteta - buck up your ideas and start to produce those nice passes you used to be able to do at will in seasons past. Maybe he misses cover behind him - Fellaini (he seems to be playing very deep) or an outlet willing to hold the ball (Osman?) - or who knows what!?

Billy - couldn't tackle a cheese sandwich.

Saha - couldn't give a toss about playing for us.

Yak - looks like he can't manage 90 minutes.

Positives: Tim Cahill is giving 120% but we'll be missing him any time soon. Pienaar and Baines are still playing well. I dunno, maybe we'll scrape something at Chelsea next week....
