We haven't played this style of football well for a while now, we were sussed out fairly quickly and now teams just sit back and counter while we pass it around not actually getting anywhere. All the extra ball possession we have it great but we really are boring and frustrating to watch a lot of the time. For this system to work we need serious investment in the summer to buy skilful players who can break defensive teams down and generally just be better in the final third (which we're awful at), obviously that's not going to happen though.
It's possible to both be pleased at the style change and also frustrated that we're not good enough to make use out of it as much as we should be doing.
