It was a scrappy badtempered win but those are a good 3 points. Prefer it when we play lovely football, which we did in flashes but liked our spirit in the game.

Credit where it's due. Osman played well, as did Howard and Lukaku. Eto'o is just pure class. McCarthy, well, what can I say? Best combative midfielder we've had since Peter Reid. Hibbert did OK as a fill-in LB.
Miirallas understandably off the boil a bit.
On the down side, Barkley struggled, but it just might be a lack of confidence at the moment - the slightest mistake and he gets pilloried for it, it seems. Thanks, Hodgson.

Arsenal win would be better for us IMO, if Sanchez stays fit they're nailed on for 2nd or 3rd place, Utd are more the ones we need to see dropping points.
