Not sure I like all this talk of hurting a player. I like to think Evertonians are above that. As for the match, "a good performance that shows we are progressing" is no longer an option. We are now at the stage where winning games is the measure of progress we want. I feel confident about beating West Ham, they are short a few players and will come and try to play. Should be a good contest for us. 3-1 win.

3-0. coming up from London for this so hopefully be good day out. They need to be put back where they belong.

We're absolutely not above this.

Brian Marwood, know your history.

I hope the centre circle peels back at full time and we fire actual missiles at Northern Ireland to conclude our sectarian problem too.

Excellent stuff.

3-0 Everton win, Martinez loses 0-3 and gets sacked, both at the same time please

I agree, I don't think any of it is serious. I don't wish injury on any player except for Suarez.

That being said it would be massively hilarious if Payet planted his foot awkwardly tomorrow.

Everton's Leighton Baines is due to see a specialist about pain in his ankle but he is available to face West Ham. Bryan Oviedo and Tom Cleverley are doubts because of injury and illness respectively, while Muhamed Besic and Darron Gibson could return.

We can choose from Galloway, Mirallas and Deulofeu too.

West Ham's James Collins is likely to miss the next three matches because of a hamstring problem. Fellow defenders Winston Reid, James Tomkins, Joey O'Brien and Sam Byram are also unavailable.

West Ham will have to draft in players for the defence. A back three could be Ogbonna, Kouyate and Oxford, with Cresswell and Antonio as wing backs. That would be quite inexperienced - and would weaken their midfield too.
