It was huge defensive errors from us though that made their chances real sitters. They never had to do very much. Just weak and fragile defending with no one taking command and too much looking around for others to do the work. It wasn't just a system, it was atrocious individual errors from Holgate Zouma and Pickford on goal 2.
Those are the mistakes he mentioned I think mate

this is a reasonable reaction, wish some of the others would be so sensible!

Yes, it was really poor. Started well but one mistake and they were in and then we started panicking. The midfield was non-existent and they took their chances. We created some great chances we didn't put away but if we'd have got anything from today we'd have been very lucky.
well like I've said in other threads it's gunna take some time to get the team Silva wants and hopefully to gel aswell to become a stronger team but as you say you can understand ppls frustrations but needs to be given time

Not even angry about this anymore. Players aren't arsed why should we be. Been like this since Martinez year 2.
If the stadium goes to the wayside, it'll be the straw that broke all but the most insane blues camel's back.

This is the stage I am at and it saddens me no end.

After half a century of going the game I sm niw totally unfazed by what I have witnessed in the last two home games.

Coming out the ground today I detected none of the anger that a gutless home defeat against a winless bottom of the table side would have generated up to a few years ago.....there is just an air of resignation around the place.

A feeling of “Everton that”.

As you say, this new stadium goes south that apathy will become a disease which will overwhelm the majority of fans.

We were very poor today West Ham bullied us and we were to soft we need to start rolling our sleeves up and start getting more physical

The positive I can take from that game is Silva will now know for certain who is not good enough at this level the negative is who else have we got if we have other injuries. The only players that can come out of that game with a little credit is Walcott (though he faded badly), Digne (but awol for 1st goal) and Bernard. Gana has good spells then really bad spells. When DCL gets the ball I don't even get excited because I usually know he will mess it up. Tosun has lost it totally, Niasse not good enough. Kenny and Holgate had mares because once the going got tough they were found wanting. Still think we are only a few crucial players away from being a decent team though but saying that the squad is still weak

Mate gana was beyond crap today, he seems to think he’s Paul scholes and tries long range passes that never make it and shots that either hit row Z or don’t even reach the goal. Last night he gave the call away 6 times I’m a row winning the ball is pointless if he gives it away just as much

We’re a mediocre team...I’m not surprised at the result for that reason. We’ll compete for the ‘best of the rest’ competition...same as we always do. None of my three children, who I love unequivocally, regularly disappoint me...but if they did , I’d still love them and lend unconditional support. Everton on the other hand is infamous for its ability to fail and disappoint me...but they too always have my irrevocable support. Suck it up lads, there’s a LOT of being disappointed ahead of us all...

...Everton that
