Only Everton can not have a pen all season. Get one. Give it to a fella who is the same as our main striker, second rate. And lo and behold, miss it. That pen should have been taken by someone like Tarky or Braithwaite. Our decision making costing us again.

Our striker took the penalty.. our striker…. the person who’s paid to score goals, and we all absolutely knew it was going to be missed.

We finally get a pen but we all knew the outcome before he took it. It's awful. Mcneil give the ball away nearly every time he's had it. Harrison isn't any better, Doucore non effective. Onana doing nothing. Betos done OK and Jimmy Garner along with the back 4 apart from Mykolenko who's been poor. It really is a poor football team.

Very, very frustrating watching that. Extremely limited approach but even when chances have come the confidence just isn’t there to step up.

We lack players like Kudus and Pacqueta but the players we do have are struggling with the basics.

Being in the mire is not a fertile environment for expansive football that’s for sure.

Just can’t be passing up penalties. If a professional footballer can’t drive a shot low and hard into a corner so a keeper can’t save it from that distance then they shouldn’t be on penalties

Anyone can miss - Zico, Socrates, Platini, Baggio - but with Everton the pattern, lately, is we miss the big ones regularly. Onana in a decisive cup moment, Beto today, Lukaku in a cup semi to name but three. You have to be big enough to take these kinds of chances, have the nerve to go with the technique. I suspect, with us, it's not even about nerve. We simply have no technique.
