Asking tom davies, alex iwobi and Andre Gomes to perform... proven over years they arent up to it.

The latter two offer nothing, particularly against a committed and strong team that has players willing to make an effort, while ours mince around like Bambi.

I was also furious with Holgate earlier at his dive - an insult to the jersey and the tradition of this Club. His real job to defend .....missing in action.

Davies makes some amends with that cross, and great finish by DCL.

35th minute at home to Burnley, and we have managedthe great position to only trail by one goal !

I agree. We found a winning - albeit boring - formula and yet kept insisting on trying to be “more expansive” against teams we should be beating on paper. Cue a succession of uninspiring defeats.

We play better when we stick to the plan. We simply don’t have the players (James on his day aside) who can be trusted to pull something from up their sleeves to win a game for us.
