After Costa dragged the ball all the way across the frame Chelsea had nothing. Everton dominated the last 30 minutes. Surprised they could lock it down that well tbh.

They didn't have anything before either to be honest. Neither did we, but our squad didn't cost £100's of millions and haven't won world cups and champions league's.
Just a point i failed to make before the match (just in case it came back to haunt me) - our bench looked stronger than theirs, which given the amount they've spent is extraordinary. I've said the same whilst looking at the millions of city, united and liverpool as well. It should not be the case.

That could have gone either way the way the game was balanced before Lukaku turned it on his head. A good defensive performance from the team as a unit, passing and attacking wasn't as fluid as usual. I think Lukaku undeniably deserves the credit for that result though.

Brilliant performance all round. Moshiri's probably wondering how on Earth we're 12th after that. Martinez got everything spot on- though I felt the subs did nothing (not that they needed to as we were up 2-0). The players played with the intensity we've been lacking all season- makes you wonder if the numerous blown leads are more the players's fault not being up for it more than Martinez's tactics? Romelu was splendid- that first goal sent chills down my spine. And Gareth Barry was our best player tonight if you ask me. Never seen a player actually applauded while sent off.

Overall, it shows that Martinez is capable of leading this squad. The players are behind him. The only thing I would criticize the manager for is that he chose this late into the season to get the team playing it's best? Anyway, in a semi-final now. Come On You Blues.

Subs just broke the game up mate which at that point was all that was needed.

I think it's always been a combination of tactics and players. Last week was definitely tactics (Niasse sub on for lennon) that allowed our capitulation but players lacked that mentality/drive as well.

Ultimately it's up to RM to manage the games though and tonight, like he has done every time we've been up for it this year, he got it spot on. Rom handed him and the club a huge boost as well.
