Dissapointing to see us put such a strong/old team out really, perfect opportunity to get some of the academy lads a game and instead we tread out a team thats older on average than our starting 11, bit amusing really

First and foremost it's about winning the game, then it's about seeing whether or not these players deserve a new contract. Oviedo, Pienaar, Gibson all fighting for their future at the club. Besides, Ledson is on loan at the minute and apparently Dowell is recovering from a long term injury so no point in throwing him back in at the deep end. Kenny has been struggling with injuries this campaign too so same applies.

If they're good enough they'll get their chance at some point under Martinez.
