Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a sport played between two teams of eleven players with a spherical ball. At the turn of the 21st century, the game was played by over 250 million players in over 200 countries, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field of grass or green artificial turf, with a goal in the middle of each of the short ends. The object of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal.

The League Cup contains just League (Professional) football teams in the EPL, Championship, League 1, and League 2, (division 1,2,3,4). It generally has a different sponsor every year like Reidy says. This year its sponsored by Capital One. If you win it you get to play in the Europa League.

The FA Cup does have a sponsor (currently Budweiser) and is currently officially called I believe The Fa Cup with Budweiser, but is rarely is ever referred to as this in the media, whereas the league cup is normally called by its sponsors name.
