Mirallas has been dropped for McGeady. Apart from that as you would expect.

I wonder why Mirallas was dropped. He wasn't great against West Ham but still would have expected him to start.

It does sometimes seem that Roberto writes the players names on bits of paper, scrunches them up, puts them in a big sombrero and them picks them out as his team

Bench is nice and strong, but Mirallas is probably our most effective attacking player - He should be starting every game, when fit, no matter what

Game in doubt?
Everton v Man City (15:00 GMT)

"Certain turnstiles at Goodison Park have not been opened because of a bit of flapping roof in the strong wind. It is being assessed by the match officials, Everton chief executive Robert Elstone and Merseyside police at the moment with safety the main concern here."

Even on a bad day Mirallas is better than McGeady on a good day.

That´s racist.

What did you expect him to play?

Besic and Barkley in midfield? We're playing against City so if there's one game I would expect two defensive midfielders it's this one.

I was talking about Naismith and Barkley, one out wide. Again.

But yes Barry is clearly knackered and plays far, far too much. The problem isn't necessarily two DMs today though, more that he's stuck with Barry for our previous (what feels like) 3000 games and so he'll no doubt give another leggy, 4-5/10 performance.
