A lot of people appear to have been sucked into the Martinez line of every match being potentially pivotal or a turning point. And every match we lose. As stated there's too much of an improvement required to make us competitive against west Brom never mind the champions. 0-2 city.

we'll win this - it's what everton do! be utterly wank for months and then beat one of the better teams in the world out of nowhere.

this video typifies everything about us, lose 3-0 shambolically at home to wigan in the cup and then go and beat city 2-0 with 10 mean through pure grit - let's do it again blue boys

If this gaffer can produce reactions to a bad defeat like that one then he will win a lot of people over.

We'll win this.

I have a feeling.

Although I do need the toilet, maybe that's it

Not this season lads.

I don't want to have to start a new thread but:

Up in Leeds, not got a car but just minutes from the city centre, does anyone know anywhere I can find the game tomorrow?

Yours,

Pienaars gloves

(Struggling to hold back the Allez Oh's cos that's all me and my mates do on a night out in L1).

Bring back Chico, so NEA that I won't even mention being 114th to Elong

As long as we keep it to lowish single figures it will be a moral victory

So 2-0 to us

2-1 the mighty blues - our boys Joao Moutinho and Manny Fernandes to slot in front of a jubilant, 60,000 strong Stadion Kirby.

Afterwards I'll bang my Swedish girlfriend

Just like the Toffees to go and win this. . . It's been a strange old season. I'm not a bit happy with RM and the team but a performance against the champions would go a long way to restoring our trust

I would think it would be on most if not all city centre bars in Leeds.....or any other English city come to that.

Big game on Sky at 5.30?

No worries, pal, the match will be easy to find in a pub.

While some, maybe more would feel that 1-1 draw vs that ballooned faced Big Sam's West Ham would give us some impetus due to our arduous effort to claim a 1-1 draw in the end, I'm not buying it. If there's a game that could change our fortunes this season and prove an epoch in Martinez'a topsy turvy Everton tenure till now...its this.

David Moyes would have the fans incensed with vital cup losses to Liverpool, Wigan, Old Ham to bringing Hibbert on to defend a lead and end up squandering it. But that ginger Man Utd legend always found a way to answer straightaway in the big games at home when the pressure was at it's peak with Straqualursci or Beckford in attack. Therefore when you look at this Everton side with the talent that needs no introduction you'd think the spanking we gave teams last season would become a norm at Goodison. However, we're obviously paying the cost of being too over confident in our defence and following the paths of all these passing teams in not caring about the importance of defence which seems to be have put a nasty virus in our confidence.

So, with such little confidence, low optimism, we look forward to a way to get some points of this game...3 if possible FFS. Wouldn't mind a 0-0 tbh cos I can't remember our last clean sheet. Irrespective of the outcome, I'm sure a lot of you are looking forward to this guy

Well done, although the standard isn't particularly high, is it?. Disappointed that Chico wouldn't look at the interviewer when discussing his absence in the previews.

2-1 to the home side.
