Yeah, some of it is his playing style, he never seems to be going flat out. Makes him an easy target, he's one of the first I go after to be honest.

Main concern is when they bring their subs on. The league cup game against Man Utd was similar until we got tired, they brought £100 million of subs on and won the game. We could do with a goal to hang onto. Playing quite well so far though.

Happy with that first half. They haven’t cut us apart and only had the one shot on target and we’re getting ourselves into promising positions with the small amount of possession that we have. Only worry is Allan picking up a second yellow, he’s not going to stop his tackling and we don’t need him too, but that’s a risk the longer he’s out there. All in all, I’d have taken this at half time

I've been critical of everton of late, but I feel so far we've performed admirably. I don't usually subscribe to conspiracy theories , yet I believe Gomes has been replaced by a clone today he's been decent . Also Godfrey just oozes hustle and defensive resolve ,. continuing his impressive form
