I think that there will be more goals than most believe in this game, the winners will need three to win.

I won't be about for a while after today but give them all a cheer for me boys, it will be a blue win 3 - 1. Grav will not start but he will come poff the bench again, just about the time that Rooney gets booed off and substituted, enjoy yourselves(y) We'll be first on MoD anyway if they win, otherwise the the [Poor language removed] will get the nod, such are the pricks that run that show(y)

hope all is well monty and see you in a while then mate!!(y)

this will be a drew i feel 2-2

Cheers Foz, we are going up to N East for a week, Holy Island way, so I hope it will be fine, knowing my luck it will piss down:lol:

Yakubu is Man U's bogey player - hope he brings that hoodoo with him.

Hope our defence can keep switched on a bit, we're overdue a clean sheet. Have a feeling we may see moyes play one of neville/jags and carsley centre in midfield, grav coming on as a sub dragging his broken leg behind him. arteta and one of the oompa loompas (osman pienaar) on the wings

Like most people i prefer Phil at right back but havent seen much of jags in midfield - anyone see him play there with their own eyes?

howdy all !

rooney and ronaldo back , gravesen out , this game is going to be a classic imo.

man utd might be a bit scary , but i feel our defence is more than capable of stamping there authority all over the utd attackers.

also the man utd defence are totally overated and when put under pressure they will let in goals.hopefully arteta will be playing down the left wing , which i feel is utd's weak link.

i just hope our lads are full of confidence and dont play defencive.

score 3:2 win to us
scorers .........
everton : johnson yakubu lescott
man utd: ronaldo tevez

i would actually go for 433 , just to give utd a problem handling with 3 strikers.

..........howard
jags yobo lescott baines

..neville carsley arteta

johnson yakubu mcfadden

come on you blues !

great post mate and nice to see some old faces about again!!

Welcome and good first post mate.

By all accounts Jags best position is meant to be at the back, according to my Sheff Utd mate. But then he's looked alright in the middle when he's played there for us, I see Moyes grooming him to be Carsley's replacement and with the Africa Nations this year he will be good cover for Yobo.

Would probably like to see Osman start tomorrow as he seems to have the edge over Pienaar.

A big result would set us up tomorrow and momentum is an undervalued thing in football.

Watch us get smashed all over the show now.

And good to see you here UkN mate.

I reckon its going to be a high scorer tomorrow, would be nice to see Arteta play a bigger part than what he has for the last few games.

Its a sign of the progress that United are nervy about this one.

I agree that ManU's defensive line is overrated and with a partnership of Yak/AJ we should be able to create chances... IF our midfield can get up to par with the ManU's. I'd actually think we'd have a bigger chance of doing that with Gravesen healthy and play with him and Cars in the middle & Neville at RB. But we'll probably play with Hibbert on RB & Cars/Neville in the middle again... and that's not good in my eyes. Will give their midfield too much space and give them the game. It will toughen up our defence, yes, but it will cost us I think.

I hope Moyes will go for some creativity and offense here.. I'd rather see us take a chance and fail than to reverse to the type of play we played before Moyes got here and grind out for a point.

But I'd love to see us take a chance and be rewarded for it. (y)

Cheers chico

Agree with the momentum point - I was gutted that we had the international break after the Bolton game. We would have been flying going into this one plus howard and gravesen would have been definitely available.

Motivation really shouldn't be a problem though, it seems consistantly high in our team for the last two years. Good results all round for our internationals (doesn't it seem wierd saying that?) so I think they'll all be raring to go. Score to settle after last year - we were genuinely robbed. Just think we need a bit more concentration at the back this season.

Speaking of our internationals - has mcfadden sold his soul to the devil? Suddenly he cant stop scoring. What a scorcher (if a bit flukey)

My birds Scottish so its put her in a good mood mate, you cant put a price on that.

I'll be honest and say that McFadden regularly underwhelms for me but no doubt he's worth a go. Perhaps he'll be one of those players for whom it just clicks, he certainly brings something else to our forward line, unpredictability. We've been saying it for a while with him but this season is pivotal, he has quality competing for a forward role - Johnson, Yakubu and Vaughan are more than capable. Hopefully he will step up to the challenge (I thought his goal against Blackburn was better than it got credit for), if not I can see him shipped to Rangers or Celtic for around 5 million. Which wouldnt be a bad price.

Maybe his time starts tomorrow.
