Mightily surprised ( or am I) that there's some gripes after yesterdays performance. Several changes to the team and yet our passing game and chance creation was very, very good. Average age of the side was quite a lot lower than normal too but you wouldn't have guessed.
All this business about we're too slow going forward...what's all that about? It's Bobby Martinez recreating the School of Science we have here, not Kevin Keegan and a gung-ho brand of kick and rush. Some people either have a totally different view of football than most, or just like a moan.
Same with giving Jelavic grief for not doing a Johhny-style 'I love you all' departure from the field. Clearly, the lad has been so frustrated and yesterday was a mighty relief for him. I'm sure the moaners were 'limbs' when his goals went in.

Let's be happy that we have something rather special building, and that we're doing it the right way without a massive influx of foreign cash...that will really be some achievement when we hit the Champions League on a meagre budget but playing beautiful football. Just imagine....a €60,000 full back surging past The likes of Sergio Ramos and Gerard Piqué en route to outplaying Bayern in the final.......

A lot of the younger fans have only ever known one hundred mile an hour kick and rush football and some fans just prefer it, you will always get complaints. I personally enjoy going to the game again and love the new style. I hated the moyes years with a passion and very nearly gave up my season ticket a few times.

Thanks for that! (Ring master)

Decent highlights compared to the lamentable fayre dished up by ITV Sport.

Might sound over the top, and I acknowledge that QPR are not the most difficult opposition we have faced, however I think yesterday's preformance was one of the most complete everton preformances ive witnessed.

The balance in our team is spot on, our midfield utterly dominated the game and we created more than enough chances to have won by a few more goals. Even when we've ****ed teams in the past we havnt been in such control of the game.

Depite whats gone on with moyes since he left, I still believe he's a good manager, but I cant help but feel that we would have made hard work of that game.

Only just seen the late chance for Jelavic to grab his hat trick with Clint Hill twice clearing off the line - would have expected that in the highlights! The cart could have had four goals, but instead only got the two!

Remember when people thought we'd struggle yesterday? Great that.

Lads, we we're OUTSTANDING. Stones 1st half tackle was worth the ticket price alone. What the highlights don't show you is how good Barkley's goal really was. There was at least a 20-25 passes in the build up, the movement and ability we showed was unreal.

I don't like to go over the top but I don't care about this, nor do I care if it was only QPR - Everton are back lads. Really really excited for what could happen in the coming months/years

Is right, Cena.

Albeit against lower league opposition, we were superb yesterday.

I had some annoying fella in front of me who threw a wobbler every time we made a backwards pass. In fact he got a cob during the build up to 1st, 2nd and 3rd goals.

But yeeah, I hope most fans will start to come round, as I haven't enjoyed watching Everton play this much ever in my 19 years on this Earth.

I think they are a better side than Fulham, Palace and West Ham at the moment mate. Yeh they were poor, but we made them look poor, we blew them away.

And the people who moan at the backwards passing, only need to look at the Munich's, Real's and Barca's of this world. Suppose when you've had 15 years of Smith, then Moyes you aren't used to it.

As you say there isnt much difference between the top championship clubs and the bottom 5-7 premier league clubs. Teams have come up in recently and coped fairly well.

We were tactically outwitted by Reading a few years ago.

I'm sitting here thinking we can actually win this cup if we field a team similar to the one vs QPR. Maybe Lukaku instead of Jelavic in the next rounds and obviously Mirallas/Deulofeu instead of Naismith.

All you really need is a bit of luck in the draw. (the top teams to get eachother).

Knowing our luck we will get City and Barry won't be allowed to play
