Except thats not quite right. She signed a 2 year deal in 2021. she announced she was having a baby in sep 2022, Baby arrived in march 2023 a few months before her 2 year deal was due to end. Everton who were due to let her leave decided rightly as it would have not looked right, to offer her a 1 year extension.

Nah - I think rather its the Club taking care of one of its players - that was important for that individual, but also for the Club's reputation in the woman's game if they want to be seen as a viable, trusted club with which to sign in the future. It's a dimension to the woman's game that just (obviously) doesn't exist on the men's side, but one that shouldn't be ignored.

We literally had at least 2/3 players missing every game last year - if that is confirmed. Its obviously the 2nd ACL in 2 games - i thought she may have Ankle Ligaments as soon as she did it, but we will see either way or whatever the injury was, plus Kenzie Weir is still recovering from her one. We already had a thin squad, topped up with young players,so its even worst now
