Everton Youth Teams Thread

Great news for him and us, how do you view his performance this season?

The harsh bit from me says Evans hasn’t kicked on as well as we hoped he would two years ago. Then he looked like a goalscoring no10 playing behind a striker. Now he’s mainly out on the right and showing his talent in fits and starts. Of the “ front six” players who started the other night against Derby he in my view was the one with the most talent, the one you looked to to turn the game for us , but it did not happen. There have been stories of growth spurts and niggly injuries that have held him back , but the two other outstanding prospects of his year , Feeney and Benigime , seem to have overtaken him in the race to the first team squad. Two years is a good contract , one year on a decent loan and one year back with us to challenge . 19 is too young to dismiss his talent, and it’s right that we give him longer, equally it’s an age where the first smatterings of first team potential should be showing.

Yeh 100% agree he hasn't kicked as much as everyone hoped as a 16 yr old. Still early days for him and hopefully by the end of this contract he might be ready to play premier league football.

Dont forget people its 1st v 2nd tomorrow [SAT] as man utd u18s play Everton u18s LIVE on MUTV with an 11am ko-
Everton have won 7 from last 8 u18s league games

Liverpool with 2 league defeats in a row play 2nd bottom wolves, while man city with 3 defeats from last 5 play away to sunderland, next week as of now man city play Liverpool,so a few good results going our way and we could make a decent gap

Pretty sure we've already mentioned it on here but former youth team player Oliver Shannon (who went to the States to Uni) has officially signed for Atlanta United.

He'll be playing in the world's most expensive stadium ($1.6b) although, at the moment, I suspect he'll be cover rather than a starter.
