Onyango could be the gem in the middle of the park we hoped a few others would be . Very highly rated and will get bigger too!....obviously much more energetic and athletic than Schneiderlin but he wouldn’t be asked to play that role sitting in front of the back four.
The step-up could be the making of Adeniran, he seems to drift out of games for my liking but he could progress playing alongside senior professionals. He certainly won’t be lacking for physicality at the top level, but there is also so much emphasis on quality and the ability to keep possession.
if Onyango has that ability he could leapfrog them all next season.

Gordon is still only 18.Gordon at the minute seems to be getting stuck a bit in the middle of nowhere, not playing for the u23s or been a sub for the main team at most
But still only 16. Very tall with a slight build. I think patience is needed here.Onyango could be the gem in the middle of the park we hoped a few others would be . Very highly rated and will get bigger too!

The assessment being made at present by CA is if he is good enough now to get some time in the first team or would he be better off going out on loan and playing regularly.
I would send him out on loan , there will be plenty of teams, good teams , looking for him. He could play anything up to 20 games between now and the end of the season and would be far more ready to push for a start with us next season.
We have leagues games only left to play and have enough players to get us through to the end of the season. He will be competing with Richarlison, Bernard, Iwobi and Walcott which means is strong competition.
I’ll await the inevitable lazy comparisons with Patrick Viera, one of the best midfielders in PL history, and Fellaini because of his size . Onyango so far hasn’t shown the aggression and skill of Viera or the heading ability of Fellaini , at 16 he’s still developing his own unique style, and apart from hooking a long leg out to score a goal or make a tackle he’s not really using his height significantly . That for me is a real positive, he’s in the U23s squad early because of his ability not just his height , though that of course undoubtedly helps him to cope in an older age group.Onyango could be the gem in the middle of the park we hoped a few others would be . It’s interesting that Seb Quirk has mainly played right-midfield often in a four or three alongside Hughes and Onyango, but he was out on the left in a more attacking role when he scored, cutting back inside to score with his stronger right. Works a lot for a lot of players.Very similar to Richarlisons
of course mate. I'm always patient with these young ladsBut still only 16. Very tall with a slight build. I think patience is needed here.
Cheers for the update mate. Good to get the low down on our young lads. ...frightening to think he could get even bigger, the big challenge will be improving his quality in possession of the football. If he has that ability he could be anything.
Looked like Onyango With the first team todayThere's another big lad as well, Welch I think who is about 6,2 and plays at centre back.
Lots of youth involved
