Maybe see Nkounkou at LB given he wasn't in first team squad. Other than that there is only Onyango who is injured who would get into the team. Ideally before window shuts get John, Astley and Hughes out on loan. Bring Mallon and Kouyate in from 18 for John and Hughes and give Kristiensen a chance at CB for Astley. I would also have sent Iversen on loan if he had been fit. Quirk and Hunt I expect to be allowed to leave if anyone comes in for them. Could do with a left back but other than that I'm fairly happy with the squad as we only have Markelo hanging about who is too old.

I considered that with Cannon on the bench but wasn't sure who else would play. Maybe McAllister or Warrington an extra midfielder with Whitaker wide. I see Dobbin as being similar style as Richarlison that's why I went for him on the left.

If they do that stick with my original team with Whitaker LW. If only Small had stayed it would be a really young team as I would have played him instead of Anderson. I would prefer the u23s and u18s to play the same formation as the first team as that will make transitioning easier. Of the current u23s I have hopes that Onyango and Dobbin can get on the bench by end of season. There is a few more Welch, Price and Whitaker who hopefully can be pushing by next season. The rest will probably drift away maybe get something for one or two of them.

I think with Virginia going out on loan he will be 3rd choice for first team and will rotate in and out of u23s depending on when and where they play compared to first team.
