Jarrad Branthwaite came on for the u20s against Romania in a 6-1 victory. I thought Gordon was in the squad, but he must have pulled out as no record of him starting or on the bench.

Gordon withdrew last week, no reason was given.

Haven’t seen anything about Francis Okoronkwo, he hasn’t played or featured at Sunderland u18, U23s , first team this season .I think these are some of the options:
1 He’s still at Sunderland but is out injured .
2 He’s gone somewhere else.
3 . We’ve signed him, he’s out injured and or our club’s underwhelming ability to give supporters any information on our u18s has kicked in.

We really are hopeless at times, most clubs announced their new first year Scholars in July , we’re still waiting for our official “ meet the new Scholars” announcement , so it may well be we have signed him and just waiting for Billy the Filing Clerk to get back from holiday to pass on the paperwork.

Plausible as that is , it’s equally as plausible that we’ve missed out on yet another young player ‘s signing .

Everton Under 23s game with Derby Friday night [7pm ko] will be free on Everton Youtube-this as said a few weeks ago is the bottom 2 v each other

David Unsworth’s team take on Leicester City in Premier League 2 on Monday 20 September and that game will be broadcast for Official, Season Ticket and Lounge Members, while the Toffees’ home clash with Manchester United four days later will be shown on YouTube.

That Leicester game should be on Leicester's page for free - so seems they may have sorted the TV Rights problem out

….every club will increasingly have instances like this. This ‘pathway’ phrase sounds grandiose but it means nothing. The very special players will still come through. I recall Gibson having a ‘pathway’ mapped out, it looks like he’s on loan until the end of his contract.

Don’t confuse the lack of players coming through with pathways and the likes. If there’s a lack of players coming through it’s because they are not there.

Exactly. I can’t think of too many youngsters we’ve let go who have proved outstanding successes elsewhere.
