Everton Youth Teams Thread

Hate to say it, but you lot seem to have quite a decent production line.
The current crop are probably the most excited I have been for our academy for a while

Recent years we have had Chilwell, Barnes, Thomas, and now Dewsbury-Hall (Choudhury as well but he is kind of "meh" haha)

But if we manage some of these current lot well - Braybrooke, Nelson, Alves, Madivadua, Maswanhise et al - it could be very good for us

Yes Braybrooke stood out for me tonight, always looking for the ball and using t well when he got it, your no.fourteen looked a classy player when he came on.

Leicester deserved the win, they made Everton’s defenders look ponderous, awkward and leaden footed for most of that second half found it embarrassing to watch them, never looked like scoring.

14 is Alves, you wouldn't think he is just 16

The skills and close technical ability he has are crazy, does what he was doing tonight pretty much every game, defenders must absolutely hate playing against him, he actually came on in our FA Cup 3rd round game against Watford

Him and Braybrooke are probably the 2 that are most highly thought of

Wish we had them, they just love having the ball and make a fuss of it, most Everton players, like the first team, treat it like a hot potato and can’t get rid of it quick enough, it’s definitely got to have something with the way these players are coached, Leicester seem to have some who know how train young players, Everton? Well proof of the pudding is how many come through.

Was sad to see. Hope the young lad can learn from it but the only way is up from tonight for him at least.
Well inconsistency happens at this level , Campbell‘s still only 17 , hes been back with the u18s recently . We know very few will make it to our first team , so for me it’s good he gets this type of exposure early in his career to see what he’s got. I’d rather see him as a CB , but playing him wide gives him more of that exposure at a higher level and as you say he can learn from it.

Thierry Small subbed at half time on his Saints debut v Coventry today, not gloating here he’s just a kid, but he’s got to be regretting leaving now with Digne getting sold and Cole and Baines coaching the first team.

Southampton beating my bet too, hope he never plays another minute personally!

Daft, why not put it on YouTube especially with it being on mutv too
Maybe it’s the MUTV factor as that is subscription I believe . So United probably wouldn’t want us cutting across that.

I see Stanley Mills is on the Official Site saying he’s looking forward to the match, which would seem to indicate he’s recovered from the injury he sustained in the U23s match against Leicester.

Cant think who it was, but Man Utd allowed which ever team it was to put a game not long ago on the opposition's YouTube for free
