I don't think that's still the case, teams aren't looking to bring through for the first team as much so are looking to produce individuals now instead of an actual team.….no idea, Nymz, just saying FA Youth Cup finalists tend have one or two that turn out to be very good players. Some achievement for Coventry, I bet the scouts are looking at them closely.

To your point Every one of those sides in the list except Villa had an exceptional youth player in it really….my point was that one or two outstanding individuals can get a team through to the final (as opposed to a ‘good team’). I think Rooney was the only one in his year group, yet that team reached the final.
Some fine players in the City and Chelsea line-ups too.
