Peak Everton Youth to have our first decent year in half a decade and then sack the bloke responsible. Not a change that needed to be made

Might just be a change of structure. Perhaps the roles that he's doing will be taken over by another member of staff in the new recruitment setup. Shame though as I think he's done a good job overall.

Gone at this argument when we're signing half of the Leeds board. Vaughan was very qualified for the role.

Worrying!!!

Quite worrying as to who is making these footballing decisions, what they are based on and what their future plans are. Some of the comments in the Tweet show zero knowledge of our youth structure and our players beyond Armstrong.

It’s always difficult to figure out who does what and when but breaking down his title “/Head of Recruitment” , well we look to have had our best recruitment at u21/ u18 ever in terms of quality and quantity. “ Players Pathway” . Our best 18 year old is playing Championship football after starting for our first team, our best 17 year old is playing up at u21, our best 16 and 15 year olds are playing up and starting at u18, it certainly looks like we’ve now got a Pathway for our youngsters.

If the plan is to get better I’m all for it , so I’ll and see what happens with great interest.

Yep I don't think there can be any legitimate gripes against Vaughan. He has improved the academy and pathways year on year. Practically turned water into wine with Tom Cannon. I really don't know who had the authority to make such a change though.

Like I genuinely don't think the club has had ambition for some time.

There was an “ If” and a high degree of scepticism at this stage in my post , I wasn’t really expecting them to say “ the plan is to get worse”:
